Taking a little care when washing, drying and storing your Integrity Stitching clothing will help preserve the fabric, shape and decoration for longer.

Different garments and decoration methods can require slightly different care, so always check the care label inside your garment first.

Where the garment label provides instructions that differ from the general guidance below, follow the garment label.

Before You Wash

Take a moment to check the care label before washing your garment for the first time.

Where possible:

Turn decorated garments inside out

Wash with similar colours

Close zips and fastenings

Avoid washing with items that could catch or damage embroidery

Do not overload the washing machine

These small steps can help protect both the garment and its decoration.

Washing

For most Integrity Stitching clothing, a gentle wash at a lower temperature is preferable.

Turning the garment inside out before washing helps reduce friction against printed and embroidered areas.

Avoid harsh detergents and bleaching products unless the garment care label specifically allows them.

Lower temperature washing can also help preserve colour and reduce unnecessary energy use.

Printed Garments

Printed designs benefit from a little extra care.

Turn the garment inside out before washing and avoid excessive heat wherever possible.

Do not apply an iron directly to printed artwork.

If ironing is required, turn the garment inside out and use an appropriate temperature for the fabric.

Repeated exposure to very high temperatures can shorten the life of printed decoration.

Embroidered Garments

Embroidery is designed to be durable, but care should still be taken to avoid catching the threads.

Wash embroidered garments with similar clothing and avoid items with exposed hooks, sharp fastenings or other features that could snag the stitching.

Do not pull loose threads.

If you notice a thread that appears longer than expected, carefully trim it rather than pulling it through the embroidery.

Drying

Where practical, allowing garments to air dry is generally the gentlest option.

Reshape the garment while damp and allow it to dry naturally.

If tumble drying is permitted by the garment care label, use the recommended setting and avoid unnecessary high heat.

Excessive heat can affect garment shape, fabric fibres and printed decoration.

Ironing

Always check the garment care label before ironing.

Avoid placing a hot iron directly onto printed or embroidered decoration.

Turn decorated garments inside out where possible and iron around decorated areas using an appropriate temperature for the fabric.

Hoodies & Sweatshirts

Heavier garments can take longer to dry.

Reshape hoodies and sweatshirts after washing and allow enough space for air to circulate around the garment.

Pay particular attention to cuffs, waistbands and hood shapes when reshaping after washing.

Polo Shirts

To help maintain the structure of a polo shirt, reshape the collar and body after washing.

Avoid leaving the garment tightly crumpled while wet.

If ironing is required, follow the garment label and take care around embroidered areas.

T Shirts

Turning T Shirts inside out before washing is particularly useful where larger printed designs are present.

After washing, reshape the body and seams before drying to help maintain the intended fit.

Storing Your Clothing

Make sure garments are completely dry before storing them.

T Shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies can normally be folded, while polo shirts can be folded or hung depending on your preference.

Avoid leaving garments compressed in damp environments or exposed to strong sunlight for prolonged periods.

A Note About Natural Wear

Clothing changes as it is worn.

Fabrics soften, colours develop character and garments begin to reflect the way they are used.

We do not believe every sign of wear is something to avoid.

Good care is about helping a garment age well rather than expecting it to remain untouched.
